Guest guide: where to stay and how to get around Puerto Vallarta

Hotels, transport and practical tips to share with the people who will celebrate with you.

Where guests can stay

Getting there and around

Puerto Vallarta has its own international airport (PVR), close to the Hotel Zone and Marina. Taxis, ride apps and private transfers are easy to find. For your wedding day we can arrange transportation for you and your guests as an optional extra.

What to wear on the sand

Think light fabrics, flat sandals or bare feet, and sun protection. Shoes with thin heels sink into sand, so skip them. Bring a light layer for the evening breeze.

Tips for your group

Make it a getaway

Many guests extend their stay for whale watching in winter, boat trips, snorkeling, the botanical garden and the Malecón at sunset. We are happy to suggest ideas when we plan your day.

A simple message to send your guests

Send guests the date, the meeting point and the arrival time as soon as you can. Add a short note about what to wear, how to get there and who to contact on the day. We can help you prepare it.

Helping older or less mobile guests

Soft sand is hard to walk on. Tell us about any mobility needs and we will choose a setting with easy access, shade and seating.
